BECOMING A CHRISTIAN

Hello, my name is Kevin Groves and I'm a member of Anchor.  When I was a kid I heard the message that Jesus was God's only son. I heard the truth that Jesus was perfect but died on the cross to pay for MY SINS. One day Jesus knocked on the door of my heart and I realized that I was a sinner and needed Jesus to rescue me from what I deserved for my sin...eternity separated from Him.

 

On that day I called out to Jesus to save me from my sins...and He did what He promises in His Word and forgave me of all my sins, past, present and future. If you would like to be forgiven and become a Christian the verses below will help you understand the Truth of God's Love For You, and you too can call on Jesus to save you...and He promises if you call on him...He will!

Romans 3:23  – for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

​

Romans 3:10  – As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;

​

Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin [is] death, but the gift of God [is] eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 10:9-10  – that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation

Romans10:13  – For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”

​

There is no 'magic prayer' to pray, but his is a simple prayer you can pray directly to God from your heart to be Forgiven Forever:

​

"Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You are God's only Son and that You died on the cross to pay for my sins and then rose again.  Please save me from my sins now and help me live for You, Amen."
